Social Work will be my profession soon.
I'm almost shocked to learn that China
doesn't have any social work.
They are just now starting to 'grasp' the idea of social work.
Starting with developing a program in the universities.
After graduation... there aren't any jobs.
(maybe a job in government but you don't need a degree for the jobs that are like social work... at least for now)
Hopefully in the next couple of years those will develop as well.
China is so large and has so many people in need of social services. They use to have their large families to take care of them in times of need. But since the one child law families are getting smaller and smaller. This is where social work will come into play.
